We would like to introduce you to Biggins our imaginary businessman.

Biggins works for a medium sized company, is a regular business traveller who never uses a travel agent and cannot understand why in this modern age, he would need to.

One day he spent several hours trawling the Internet for the best deal for his latest business trip to San Francisco. He was extremely pleased having saved his company money on his flight and had selected a quaint bed and breakfast.

Upon arrival at the airport Biggins discovered all flights to the US were delayed due to bad weather on the East coast. Naturally there were huge queues at the airline ticket desk and people were sleeping in the airport. Biggins waited in line for over an hour and finally rescheduled his flight for the following morning.

Biggins decided to hail a taxi and went in search of a hotel. After a further 45 minutes in the taxi he finally found a hotel with availability albeit at a highly inflated rate. He attempted to contact the bed and breakfast in San Francisco to inform them of the delay but was unable to get through.

The moral of this story? Spending hours on the Internet searching for a cheap flight was not cost effective and definitely not stress free. Had he booked through Mantra, we would have amended his reservation, arranged a hotel at the airport and informed the bed and breakfast of his delayed arrival.
